SYSADMIN - NET TOOLSby Prabath Thalangama

Terms of Service

Last updated August 14, 2026

These terms cover your use of NetworkTools, the free DNS, email, SSL/TLS, network, and security diagnostic tools operated by sysadmin.lk ("we", "us") at sysadmin.lk. By using the site or its API you agree to them.

1. The service

Every diagnostic tool on this site — DNS lookups, email authentication checks, the SSL/TLS certificate checker, ping/traceroute/port checker, the Super Scanner, and the rest — is free to use, with no account required for a one-off lookup. An account is only needed for Domain Monitors (recurring scans) and API keys. We may introduce usage limits for anonymous requests in the future; if we do, this page and the product itself will make that clear rather than silently rate-limiting you.

2. Acceptable use

Only run these tools against domains, hosts, and IP addresses you own or have permission to test. Don't use NetworkTools to probe, scan, or gather information about third-party infrastructure as part of an attack, unauthorized penetration test, or harassment. We apply SSRF protections to every lookup (blocking internal, private, and cloud-metadata addresses as targets), but that's a technical safeguard for our own infrastructure, not permission to target someone else's.

Don't attempt to abuse, overload, or circumvent rate limits or usage controls on the service, and don't use it to send spam, generate abusive traffic, or violate any applicable law.

3. Accounts and API keys

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your password and any API keys you generate confidential, and for all activity under your account. Revoke an API key immediately from Account Settings if you believe it's been exposed. One account per person — don't share credentials or automate signups.

4. No warranty

NetworkTools is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Diagnostic results (DNS records, SSL grades, security findings, and so on) are informational and provided on a best-effort basis — we don't guarantee they're complete, accurate, or current, and they shouldn't be your sole basis for a security or operational decision. Tools that depend on third-party infrastructure (DNS resolvers, certificate authorities, reputation lists) can only be as accurate as what those sources report.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, sysadmin.lk isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, NetworkTools — including decisions made based on a diagnostic result.

6. Third-party services

Some features rely on third-party services: Google Sign-In (if you choose it), PayPal (donations, and payment if the optional usage paywall is active), ipinfo.io (IP geolocation for the "Your Information" widget), and Have I Been Pwned (the password breach checker, queried via k-anonymity — your actual password is never transmitted). Your use of those features is also subject to that provider's own terms.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, particularly the acceptable-use section above. You can delete your own account at any time from Account Settings.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will update the "last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
